Geocache Description:

This micro cache is hidden at the Mission Gate entrance to the Mission Cove subdivision. Parking is avaliable at the cache site and you will need your own pen/pencil to sign the log as the cache is too small to hold one.

The Mission Gate is the original entrance to the Methodist Church built in Company Bay in the late 1800's. In 1932 the area was developed into a summer Health Camp for children and continued taking children until it was converted into the Eventide Rest Home for Elderly people in 1944. This Home continued and expanded until the 1990's when it become costly to maintain in a competitive market. In 1995 the area was sold to a property developer and is now known as Mission Cove with many large private homes being built.
