WHERE: Black Hoof Park at Lake Lenexa, Lenexa, KS
TIME: 3:00PM to 9:00PM

Don't miss this annual fun filled event.

A special welcome to out-of-town cachers.

This year our picnic event is held in an area of Black Hoof Park at a new 2012 shelter. The area is described as “a rain to recreation park”. Come early to enjoy the amenities of the park. Take a self-guided tour, enjoy the trails and lake surroundings. Black Hoof Park info. Parking is limited but a drop-off area is close to the shelter for your passengers and picnic supplies.

How can YOU participate??

Bring yourself, your family, and your new caching friends.
Bring a side dish to share with others and your own drinks. Picnic supplies will be provided.
Fried Chicken will be provided. Hopefully the chicken doesn't have a problem crossing the road. (Arrived somewhat late last year.)
Bring lawn chairs and tables (if you have them).
Bring your caching stories (true or false) and hints to those puzzles.

Activities:

Silent Auction – It was a big hit last year so it’s back. Monies earned will offset picnic costs. So, if you have that special item you would like to donate it would be appreciated. Bidding will start at 4:00PM and close by 4:45PM just before it is time to eat. We’ll set this up in three categories: Cache containers, Coins and Misc. items.
This will be the second year for pathtags. Pathtags are in. See the design above. Purchase yours at the picnic or future events for $3.00.
Promises of new permanent caches in the area.
Temporary caches for the little ones to find around the picnic area.
Icebreaker to get you acquainted with your fellow cachers.
Drawings for door prizes. Donations welcome.
Of course, dine on our picnic fare.
Just In - After dinner we will have a live auction. Be ready to bid for one of several great caching experiences. Go here to see some of the offerings.

T-Shirts:

You can place order now. Orders must be in by Aug. 4th.

Pickup and payment will be on picnic day.

Available Sizes: Youth XS 6/8, S 10/12, M 14/16, L 18/20 Adult S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL. Adult sizes can be ordered with long sleeves.
Prices are as follows: Short sleeve up thru XL will be $12.00 - Sizes 2XL-4XL will be $15.00 - Long sleeved t-shirts will be an additional $3.25.
Shirts ordered on the day of the picnic will cost an additional $4.00 for shipping.

We are anxious to hear any ideas you might have for more activies.

Please post a will attend log. If possible, please sign up by noon Fri Aug. 17th so we can have an estimated count to place the meat order. For those new to our caching community, please list your first names along with caching name so we can create personalized nametags.

Two other events will be taking place on picnic day. You might want to attend THE KC MASTER EVENT - 208 and 2nd International Geocaching Day.
