Caloplaca Cache Traditional Cache

I named this cache after a type of lichen as it is hidden close to a sizable rock that looks kind of cool because it has several types of bright yellow lichen all over its surface.
To get to the cache location most likely from Killala, take the road to Ballycastle and after just over 4kms you will cross a long narrow bridge at Palmerstown, go straight at this junction following the signs to Kilcummen pier. Then make your way to this Junction at N54° 16.748 W009° 12.968 from this crossroads go north for about 1km to the end of the road which has a poor surface and a fine collection of potholes.
If you are here on a good clear day then if you look to the North you should be able to see the Slieve League Mountains in Donegal and to the right of that to the East and only slightly closer you can see Ben Bulben in Sligo & to the right of that you can just about make out Queen Maeve tomb on top of Knocknarea.
This headland is also supposedly a good place to see whales and dolphins so if you see some, take pictures.
The cache a tablock box is hidden about 80 or 90 m from parking area along the cliff top path. Please take care if it is windy.
Its goes without saying that care and attention should be taken along the cliff top paths, more so if it is windy which is not uncommon.
Please replace the cache exactly as you found it, thanks.
