Stepney - "The real Eastenders number 1" Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Southerntrekker: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to recent logs I am archiving it.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported. Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained in the Help Center.

Geocache Description:

black magnetic 35 mm film canister

Stepney in Tower Hamlets, is in London's East End. It was a medieval village formed around St Dunstan's church, where this cache is placed. The area grew in the 19th century to house immigrant workers and the London poor in cheap housing. It developed a reputation for poverty, overcrowding and violence and political dissent.
St Dunstan's, founded in 923, is Stepney's oldest church. The present building dates principally from the 15th century. Des O'Connor, Steven Berkoff, Terence Stamp, Roy Marsden , Anita Dobson and drummer Kenney Jones (Small Faces) were born in Stepney.
This is the REAL London!
