Geocache Description:

Keeping relatively close to town, i like to find things of historical interest, this as always caught my attention on the way past.

On arriving for the cache you could during quieter hours do this as a drive by, but it is a busy road most of the time, you can just park a short distance away though if you do decide to make a quick grab and dash. The wall here as just been redone and a spectacular job they have made of it, the views from here are towards Winter hill and the wallsuches just below, the new housing estate can be seen which was an old mill, and there are public footpaths around the lake to the right for good walks. The cache is of a child safe type container (paracetamol type tub) these are unused containers and make great little caching tubs, it is magnetic, and you will have to align the arrows to get the lid off for the log. Please bring your own writing device to place your mark
