St. Hart's 'Hood: Via Selva Place Traditional Cache

St. Hart: I rechecked today and concluded the same type of hide could not be done in this re-constructed, re-landscaped area. So sorry that The Traveller trackable disappeared along with the cache container when the tree whacking occurred — esp. since it was from Germany and wanted to travel the world but only logged about half-a-circumference worth of miles.

Look for a "Via Selva Place 2" cache in the near future not too far away but a totally different type of hide. It's in the works now...

It was a good 3-year run for this cache. Game Over.

Geocache Description:

Overview:   On a spur trail south of the main trail between the Hollywood Riviera section of Torrance and PVE -- the only one of our series actually on the PVE side.   A mid-size container big enough for medium-small items.

We are continuing to populate our neighborhood (the Hollywood Riviera) with geocaches, and as of St. Patrick's Day 2012, we have built up a 16-cache (17 now) power series along this 2-mile trail.  

 You will park in either city and walk a couple  minutes.  

JAN. 25, 2014: The spur trail was recently cleared of underbrush, including removal of this cache's host (and the cache was lost). The replacement cache is in a spot about 20' from the original and is a very similar hide – slightly larger container, same kind of attachment as the original cache, same hint still applies. This spur trail is public property but there are houses very nearby on the other side of walls on both sides and the hiding spot is more visible from both houses than originally. Please be very stealthy and respectful of the residents just over the walls. Please replace the cache out of sight, with only the attachment mechanism visible.

Bring your own writing utensil just in case. This replacement container is large enough for most trackables and trinkets; it starts out with numerous trinkets and coins (but no trackables).
