A short walk up a relatively steep hill by the beautiful Castle Coch. Easily done in 5 minutes, leaving plenty of time to explore the forest and the castle further.
Best approached from the free car park outside the fairytale sight of Castle Coch, which is open until 4.30pm - and well worth a look if you're coming to visit. PLEASE NOTE: The path may not be accessible after 4.30pm when the monument and car park are closed. See cadw.wales.gov.uk for more details. Follow the main trail up into the woods, and look for a disused path on your left that leads past a bench and the remains of a viewing platform and into the trees. The ground is very steep, so be careful where you put your feet. Please make sure the cache is well hidden afterwards. This cache has been placed with the kind permission of Cadw and the kind team of Castle Coch. Originally placed by FeveredSleep and adopted by Arm-chair.
