Cache is placed at the edge of Baglan Energy Park. Flat terrain, a few brambles but probably not accessible in a wheelchair. Parking (free) nearby on roadway. The cache is NOT on the intruder sensor, so please don't interfere with that.
The Cache is a micro container so bring your own pen. It is placed with the kind permission of the landowners.
In the 19th century, coal, tinplate and pottery was exported from this site from Baglan Pill.
Baglan Energy Park houses a gas fired power station which was opened in 2003 and deemed at that time to be the most modern in Europe. It is built on the former BP Petrochemicals plant which produced Isopropanol from 1963 to 2004.In 1968 it was deemed to be one of the largest in Europe. In it's heyday in 1974, it employed 2500 people.
