Rubio is out for the season, the Gophers didn't make the "Big Dance" again this year, and the high school tournaments will be over next week. Bummer. All some of us Minnesota basketball junkies can do now is reminisce a bit.
This cache in a series of nine along the Willard Munger Trail north of Finlayson pays tribute to an NBA great, now retired, with at least one NBA championship ring and election into the Basketball Hall of Fame. Maybe you remember this player, maybe not. Wearing your favorite player's jersey or dribbling a basketball on the tarred trail as you proceed is not necessary to experience a basketball high, but it may help.
You should find the cache to be winter friendly. Enjoy the walk along the trail, watch out for mugglers, and be careful. By now many of you are getting familiar with dunceboy hides along this trail so you know what to expect.
