The fence around the nearby marine salvage yard is made out of re-purposed leaf hatches. These hatches were once used on board ships to cover the cargo holds.
The cache it's self is a camo'd container that once contained animal crackers, but is now well stocked with swag & the log. No writing tool so please bring your own.
Once you find the cache take some time to explore(SAFELY) the area, there are some things that should be in the salvage yard but for many years they have just been sitting where they lay today.
Parking is abundant along the canal side road.
