This cache is located on the BGW Range in the Welton Hills. Entrance permits are required.
Old Mike Donavon's Cabin, actually the remains of the cabin. Olga Smith referred to Old Mike in her book, "Gold on the Desert". He was Olga and Cap Smith's nearest neighbor. They would stop at Mike's cabin on the way to and from Ligerta Station, where they west to buy supplies for Smith Mine, located about 10 miles farther south.
Olga and Cap Smith operated the Smith Mine along with Cap's father, Casper, circa 1930.
