A simple woodland cache.
This cache is aimed at dog walkers but all are welcome. This is my first cache so I’ve kept it simple. A logbook and pen are supplied. The cache originally contains a travel bug which I collected from the Leith Hill area.
I chose this location because I've been walking my dogs here for years and used to play here as a child. Nearby (uphill) is the church of St Martha's on the Hill, famous for its great views and the memorial stone to Yvonne Arnaud.
I would love to gather photo logs of dogs enjoying the area, but like I say, all are welcome and no dogs are required.
The location is best accessed from the Guildford Lane car park and is approx a 10 minute walk. For a longer walk and some stunning views why not park in the Halfpenny Lane car park and walk over the hill and past the church.
Expect dog themed trackables in the future.
Nearby caches include St Martha's church-micro and Bang.
Placed with the kind permission of Surrey Wildlife Trust
Good luck and enjoy.
