Geocache Description:

Cache container is a northwoods nano with camo tape.

Emil Ast was born in Switzerland in 1883. He married in 1904 and he and his wife raised a family of five children. They farmed on 220 acres with pastures and hay fields on top of the bluff. The Ast family made their own cheese until the last year they farmed, when they started taking their milk to the Goldmine Cheese Factory.



The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Kathleen Gruentzel of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form.
