Historically known as the Red Rocks Pueblo, the Trading Post is a great place to stop and visit. The structure, designed by W.R. Rosche, was constructed in 1931 and originally contained a dining room, luncheonette, soda fountain and Indian curios; it now hosts a Colorado Visitor Center, gift shop and cafe. The Trading Post offers breathtaking views of the valley and the rock formations to the south, and is the beginning and end of the 1.4 mile Trading Post trail, which winds thought the spectacular Fountain and Lyons formations with a narrow, rough surface that follows moderate to steep terrain.
