Any easy to find cache but you need to cross a shallow burn, so have good shoes or boots.
Start off at the Castlemilk Stables or Jeely Piece Club and follow the path over the bridge and into the woodlands which are stunning.
This woodland is at the very start of its regeneration by Cassiltoun Housing Association and has its own Community Woodland Officer who organises lots of special events.
In amongst the litter and the fly tipping there are tides of Snow drops, Bluebells and other beauties bursting out of the growth. Volunteers are beginning to make a difference in clearing the paths and junk to show off the park in the best light.
The area is also bursting with history, links to Mary Queen of Scots and evidence of a once great house, of which only the stables and bridge remain fully intact.
