Located just off of the old Narrow Gauge Rail Trail which is all part of the new (Bay Circuit Trail System). The Fawn Lake Conservation Area in Bedford is a popular destination for lunchtime walkers, science groups from the nearby Lane School, and others who enjoy the easy trails and natural setting. We’ve noticed an abundance of turtles in this pond!
There is a self-guided nature trail and plenty of nice spots for a family picnic. The water’s healing powers are legendary.
This cache is located in the woods to the South of the lake. There’s a parking area off of Sweetwater Ave. along the abandoned railroad tracks (N 42 ˚30.843’, W 071 ˚16.556’) just East of the pond.
