Dvorec Sela/Sela Mansion Traditional Cache

Dvorec Sela je bil zgrajen kot letovisce za jezuitski kolegij iz Trsta leta 1760 v poznobarocnem stilu. Ze leta 1762 sta ga v last dobila dunajski in ljubljanski trgovec Valentin Ruard ter Jozef Desselbrunner. Slednji je dvorec spremenil v najvecjo tovarno sukna v takratni Avstriji. Napoleonove vojne so tovarni prinesle financne tezave, zaradi cesar so jo leta 1803 zaprli. Leta 1817 jo je kupil Andrej Malic in tri leta kasneje oddal drzavi, ki ga je do svojega konca uporabljala v vojaske namene. Taksnim potrebam je dvorec sluzil se naprej v obeh Jugoslavijah, zdaj pa je v lasti gradbenega podjetja GIVO Real, ki ga pocasi obnavlja. Trenutno se v njem nahajajo zasebna ambulanta, albanska in kosovska ambasada ter etno klub Zlati zob. Zgrajen na podezelju je dvorec v 18. stoletju kraljeval okolici, sedaj pa je popolnoma skrit med bloke in stolpnice.

The Sela Mansion was built in 1760 as a resort for the Jesuit College from Trieste in late Baroque style. In 1762 it was bought by Valentim Ruard and Jozzef Desselbrunner. The latter transformed it into the biggest cloth factory in the Austrian Empire. Napoleon wars brought nancial troubles for the factory and in 1803 the production stopped. In 1817 the mansion was bought by Andrej Malicc and leased it to the state. Since then it was used for military purposes. Now it owned by a construction company and is slowly being renovated. It houses a private clinic, and ethno-music club Zlati zob ("The Golden Tooth") and the embassies of Albania and Kosovo. Built in the countryside, it used to rule the sorroundings throughout the 18th century, but nowadays it is almost completely hidden between urban architecture.
