The border between Ome and Akiruno runs on a ridge between two towns.
There are some interesting objects on the ridge.
You can see a monument of 5th Riot Police Unit here.
If you want to take rest, there is a bower built by riot police near by.
Please bring your pen.

The trail runs from Manji Pass to Futatsuduka pass.
It is umapped but the trail is on the border of the towns so you can check how it runs on the Google map and OpenStreetMap.
Access to the trail:
If you are coming from east, take Hamura Kusabana hiking course and take stairs up to Old Manji Pass. Follow the trail markers to Futatsuduka.
If you are coming from west, entrance of trail is near Futatsuduka Pass. Follow the trail markers to Manji Pass.
The trail continues from Futatsuduka Pass to Old Futatsuduka Pass. Cross Akikawa Kaido (watch out for cars!), and climb up slope.
