Geocache Description:

A beautiful wetland area in the heart of a small Port Townsend neighborhood between San Juan Ave and the non-motorized trail. It is much prettier in the winter when there is a pond, but today as I placed the cache there were birds singing and ducks swimming. If you are lucky enough to be there at the right time in the spring you will understand where this place gets it's name.

A small urban oasis, Froggy Bottoms is a work in progress, done by volunteers with the co-operation and assistance of the Puget Sound Water Quality Team. Animals, plants and environmental conditions all interact to create a diverse ecosystem. Strategically placed snags, stumps, and rock piles provide homes for wildlife to thrive and multiply. This is not necessary a high muggle area but there is a house close by with windows looking out over the area, so use your stealth judgement. I gave this a 3 star terrain difficulty rating because at certain times of the year waders or rubber boots may be required to reach the cache location, due to the level of the pond water. The cache is placed so that getting to it will not destroy any of the habitat, but please exercise care. Thank you and enjoy!

Congratulations to The Pirates of the Yukon and craZredhead for a co-ftf
