teampipperice: It appears this cache may be gone for good, just like The Beer Revolution that resided at this location for so many years. The "Rev" was an institution when it first opened and "the place" to go for excellent craft beer on tap. But now Oakland, Berkeley and San Leandro have since become home to numerous, excellent breweries, making finding quality, quaffable beverages much less challenging than it was 10-12 years ago.
And just like the Rev, and my cache honoring it, I have also moved on and can no longer check on or maintain this hidden tribute cache.

The cache is not at the posted coordinates.
It is not in the Oakland Estuary, nor in the Posey or Webster Tubes. Don’t go there.

This is a very simple puzzle cache honoring the craft beer industry, as nothing tops off a great day of geocaching better than a couple of micro-brewed beers. The industry has seen tremendous growth over the last 30 years, from less than 100 U.S. breweries in 1980 to over 1,700 today; as consumers demand a better tasting and more flavorful product than what was typically available previously. The majority of Americans now live within ten miles of a craft brewer, and/or have access to their fine tasting beers at a local brewpub or restaurant.

The cache is less than one mile from the posted coordinates. You are looking for a small container that only has room for a log sheet, so bring your own writing implement. The muggle factor increases as the day wears on, so you may want to plan accordingly. Cheers!
