Geocache Description:

Indian Creek area is located in the Buffalo Gap National Grasslands. The South Dakota Wild Grassland Coalition with the support of S.D.Senator Tim Johnson has introduced legislation to designate this public land as wilderness. The wilderness would consist of three non-contiguous areas: Indian Creek, Red Shirt and Chalk Hills.

Turn west just passed Scenic and drive 6 miles to Cardiac Hill.(see photo) The road to the overlook is good gravel. If you choose to go beyond the overlook into the valley better have high clearance 4W drive. Visit this website if you are interested in hiking the Indian Creek area or the South Dakota Wild Grassland Coalition http://www.sdwildgrassland.org/
