水無瀬の滝は、天王山の西尾根から発した滝谷川が、天王山断層によって落ち込んでできた高さ約20メートルの滝です。古くから歌にも詠まれた名勝で、藤原定家の日記『明月記』には、後鳥羽上皇が滝を観賞されたという記録が残っています。この滝の水は枯れたことがないといわれ、昭和20年代から上水道に切り替わるまでの間、簡易水道の水源として利用されました。名神高速道路の天王山トンネル出口付近にあります。
