Geocache Description:

By the power station along the river at Longbridge Road

A series of 10 caches, was 11 but one kept getting muggled, along what we think is a beautiful walk of approx. 2 miles. There is lots of tree coverage, so GPS's might be a bit erratic. Hints should help, you will also need a pin or something thin to get the logs out of some of them and your own pen/pencil.

PLEASE NOTE: NOT ALL THE CACHES ARE PLACED ALONG THE OBVIOUS WALK, THEY ARE ON A SLIGHTLY MORE DIFFICULT AND CHALLENGING PATH BELOW WHERE YOU WILL NATURALLY BE WALKING, IT CAN BE A BIT OF A SCRAMBLE DOWN TO SOME OF THEM, BUT THAT ADDS TO THE FUN.

Assuming that you do this walk from 1 to 11 there is a slightly different path, more difficult to negotiate than the cycle track from cache 8 to 11. Instead of going onto the cycle track on your way to 9 take the lower path. It is not suitable for buggies at all and smaller children may struggle, we took our 4 1/2 yr old and she was ok. The path is distinctive so no need to stray from it but you can get 9 and 10 this way. You will then need to rejoin the main cycle track above cache 10 to get 11.

There is one other cache which are not part of this walk that can be incorporated as you will walk straight past it, Franks cache.
We walked our walk today for the first time as a complete walk (28th April 2012) and it took us about 2 hours at a gentle pace. (of course we new where the caches were so easier for us).

Can get muddy in places but a lovely flat walk.

We have placed this cache here because as a child Mrs Janner V would come down here with her brothers and throw stones in the river for fun. They never new what the place was called so they invented the name from what they said to each other " lets go over the river throwing stones"

This cache is a small plasic container with a gold lid, there is only a log book to sign ( Please bring along your own pencil/pen )
Please be aware of muggles as this is a popular spot and please place back as found.

There is a £1 coin for 1st to find.

Enjoy.
