Hartsdale ROCKS Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

GneissCache: Going to have to archive this one. I just don't have time to get down to that neck of the woods. Maybe I'll revisit this over the summer.

Geocache Description:

While doing a little grocery shopping this morning, I noticed some rocks (we are GneissCache, after all). It made me think of all the stone walls around Westchester County, much of New York State and New England. Many stone walls in Westchester are composed of Fordham Gneiss or Manhattan Schist, as these rocks are abundant in our area. Check out Gneiss and Schist (which are types of Metamorphic Rocks) here. Stone walls were built by farmers to fence in animals or create property boundary lines. Some sources say that these stone walls were built by slaves, Native Americans, indentured servants, and even children!
This cache is dedicated to the rich stone wall history of our area. You're looking for a medication container dressed in some camo duct tape. There's a bird lapel pin for the FTF :) Not much room for other trade items, but if you can fit something in, go for it! Remember to bring your own pen.
