Part 2 of our series as a tribute to some famous English wicket-keepers and the game of Cricket!

John McCarthy (Old Jack) Blackhorn(1853-1932) played for Australia. He was the first of the great modern wicket keepers.
The wicket-keeper in the sport of cricket is the player on the fielding side who stands behind the wicket or "stumps" being guarded by the batsman currently on strike.

If you dont know the rules of cricket, here they are as Explained To A Foreign Visitor -
You have two sides out in the field and one in.
Each man that's in the side that's in goes out and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out.
When they are all out the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in out.
Sometimes you get men still in and not out.
When both sides have been in and out including the not outs and that's the end of the game.
