Down By the Riverside Traditional Cache
BlaKids: Checked on the cache & as previously reported it has been smashed. The location is nice but I'd like to focus my cache placing energy elsewhere at the moment. If the area opens up again when the new development is finished then I'll consider placing a new cache here. Until then the location is now open to anyone else that wants to give it a go. Farewell "Riverside", it was fun while it lasted.

The geocache is on public land adjacent to a newly opened land development.
The cache is 2 litre painted sistema. It is lightly covered by leaf litter.
There are lots of swappable small toys and a host of trackables in the cache presently. Please remember the swapping rules - swap items in the cache with those of equal or higher value.
The area was formerly known as East Clontarf and has had a variety of uses. Farming, pine plantation, playing fields and even a school have all played a part in this areas rich history.
The area adjacent to the bushland where the cache is situated is an interesting & successful 2 hectare wetland rehabilitation and revegetation project which drains into Clontarf Bay and the Canning River. In the future the river foreshore area will also be increased by approximately 6000 square meters."
It will be interesting to see how the rehabilitation area matures over the years to come.
Congratulations to 'Jamesvdm' for the FTF. Must have been in the right place at the right time to beat the super-keen locals.
4/7/2012 Update - There is now more subdivision development going on. The previously unlocked gate on the silver fence line has now been locked. The black fence line has been locked since before the cache was placed. So, the only 'easy' way in is from the water. As this will always be an option I won't permanently disable the cache.
