Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Big Arm State Park on the west shore of Flathead Lake.

The cache is located along a beautiful hiking trail that surrounds the northern and eastern boundaries of the park. Part of the trail follows the old highway, passing large ponderosa pine and rocky mountain juniper. Take to time to walk the nearly two mile loop and enjoy the scenery. Excellent views of Wildhorse and Melita Islands can be seen from the cache location.
During winter when the main gates are closed you'll have to park the car at the flagpoles and walk the mile into the cache. During other seasons you could drive to the end of the campground and park close to the trail entry for a quick hike up to the cache.
Vehicles with Montana plates get free admission, for all others there is a $5 fee to drive in.
Placement of this cache has been approved by the Park Manager, Kalispell Regional Office, Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks.
