Geocache Description:

This is part of a series of disguised caches placed in and around the award winning Betty Eastwood Memorial Park and surrounding ginnels and public roads. You will have seen the stones, toadstools, nuts and bolts on the internet, well, they are none of those!
***** PLEASE NOTE THE OBJECTS POSITION AS YOU MIGHT ONLY BE ABLE TO REPLACE IT IN EXACTLY THE SAME PLACE.*****

This was part of a premium member series with a bonus. It is now a stand alone cache open to everyone

Not all park caches are close to the footpaths. It will make for an enjoyable walk, the park is a haven for wildlife, you will hear and see lots of birds and, maybe, the odd squirrel. Starting from the recommended parking it’s a 3.73 km round trip. You can take what route you please but if you do them in order it will be the shortest and quickest.
Plenty of parking is available on Church Lane. The 110 bus from Leeds and Wakefield (every 10 minutes Mon – Sat, 20 minutes Sunday)stops at the Fairbrooke Road terminus close to Church Lane
They are all in plain sight so you will not need to lift stones or put your hand round unseen bends. This doesn’t mean they can all be viewed from all angles although some will be visible 10 metres away or more. You need to ask yourselves “Should that be there?”
***** PLEASE NOTE THE OBJECTS POSITION AS YOU MIGHT ONLY BE ABLE TO REPLACE IT IN EXACTLY THE SAME PLACE.*****
No tools are required.
I tend to do my caching by ATB so you will be able to get relatively close by bike, but you might have to do a bit of pushing and there are some kissing gates. I think buggies or strollers would be a problem. Suitable for children so long as they are supervised closely on the public road stretches or near water in the park. Bring your dog, but make sure you clean up; fouling is not only frowned on here, it is subject to a penalty.

FTF - Congratulations to Gingernutters

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS - The title would have been a clue to those who have seen (and perhaps walked) the pilgrim way to Santiago de Compestela, when the cache was a scallop shell.
