Some will love this one while others hate it.
A small cache located near Roanoke Island Memorial Gardens Cemetery located north of Manteo off US HWY 64/264 on Fields Drive.
The cemetery is owned and operated by the Dare County Airport Authority.
Planes will pass overhead because you will be in the flight path of the 4,305 foot runway number 05/23.
The 4-acre lot has a 1,800 square foot mausoleum with grave sites, niches and crypts available.
Cache is camouflaged and positioned in a base position that should stand out if you have sharp eyes.
This property seems to gather plenty of trash. This is a chance for Geocachers to make a difference. Cache was placed as part of a Cache In Trash Out event. However, CITO doesn't just happen once a year. Feel free to bring a trash bag & pick up some of the debris blowing around.
Picking up trash will ensure that this cache remains available. Even a small act can make a huge difference.
Although this can be a remote area, picking up trash can be an excellent cover as you look for this one and the other nearby cache sites if Muggles are in the area.
This is probably not a P&G, and we should all please show some respect and NOT search at night or during any ceremonies taking place.
