Geocache Description:

Come on out and join us for another great hike, this time we will have a guided tour down into the Grand Canyon of GA. We are looking forward to a great day at Providence Canyon State Park!!


We will meet at 10:00 AM for a short meeting at the top where the park manager will give a history of some geological facts about the canyon. After this brief meeting, those interested in joining can take a guided hike to the bottom with the Park Manager. The guided hike will cost $5.00.
The above D/T ratings reflect the meeting at the top. Please see the GA State Parks website for the complete description of the canyon hike. Don't forget to bring your Canyon Climbers Club Card to get annother punch.
Plan on about 4 hours in the canyon with about 3 miles to cover. Please pack water, snacks and whatever as needed.
There is currently a earthcache and a virtual cache there and permission has been given to hide more caches. Expect caches to be published in the last day or 2 before the event.
