Geocache Description:

A nice easy multi to get you looking around Kalbarri. It might be a bit far to walk, but would be a nice bike ride or a short drive.

The cache is NOT AT THE LISTED COORDINATES. These will take you to the starting point of an easy six point multi with a question to answer at each. The cache will be found at an historical site....

s27 42.ABC e114 09.DEF

A...s27 42.551 e114 09.960 Start at the Visitors Center in the middle of town. Have a look at the maps of the town displayed outside the centre and read some of the interesting information. Wittecarra Creek is a popular fishing spot believed to be the site where Dutch sailors were marooned in 1A29 as punishment for their involvement in the Batavia mutiny.

B...s27 42.420 e114 10.059 Next is the Pelicans feeding area. Read the info board there to find out how many eggs the female pelican usually lays and how many parents incubate the eggs.

C...s27 41.998 e114 10.116 Now to the marina. Kalbarri is a great place for boating and fishing. Read the Navigable Waters Regulations Vessel Safety Equipment Requirements. A 406MHz EPIRB is required if proceeding more than how many miles from the mainland?

D...s27 42.247 e114 10.497 Next is a favourite place of fairwaydrivers...the 18 hole golf course with beautifully maintained grass greens. How much does it cost for a visitor to play golf for a week? D is the first digit, minus 2 since the price has recently gone up a bit.

E...s27 42.593 e114 09.772 Down to the beach to another boat jetty, this one for smaller boats. What is the Kalbarri Sea Search and Rescue VMR number? E is the second digit.

F...s27 42.609 e114 09.504 Here you will find a plaque commemorating the 3ooth anniversary of a shipwreck. In 1927 silver coins found at the top of some cliffs gave the site of the survivor's camp and the wreck. How far from the Murchison River mouth was this? Take the second digit and multiply by 2
Hope you have fun! The cache is now a mint tin.
