Geocache Description:

Hidden for the Geolympix FTFrenzy, this cache will take you to an interesting spot (or more) in Oxford. Please cache with care, even when in need of a FTFix!

This Letterbox Hybrid cache (that means there's a stamp in the box; please don't remove it) will take you on a short tour from Point A to Point B and you'll need your wits about you along the way as you'll want to gather information, outlined - in no special order - below.

Point A: N51° 45.087 W001° 15.102 (the given co-ords, above).

Point B: N51° 45.107 W001° 15.156

He lived and worked here for ten years, packing up in 1XY7. Y-X=?

Generosity from the New World. The recurring number = ^

Something metal made to look like Wood. Final digit of the most recent date = £

He died in 1675, after his birth (as is traditional) in 162%

Formerly which Place? Number of letters in name (one word) = @

He didn't like quaries? Eh? The final digit of his year of birth = $

What's so funny, anti-Royalist? Died in 16#0

H = The number below it, repeated very close to each other, not far from a hot-headed T.

___=? ___=^ ___=£ ___=% ___=@ ___=$ ___=# ___=H

Final Location:
51° 4£.%(@-%)(?+(^-#)) W001° 1(#+H).($+(£-@))(?x$)(^-H)

The cache is hidden at what I consider to be the funniest place in Oxford. [I've since learned more about the area on Wikipedia. It's pretty rude] Cache safe, have fun, and enjoy some light education. Tartar for now! I left a special little something for the FTFer- it's not a swap, it's a gift. Pass it on! :D

There's now a second Plaque Buildup cache; a Puzzle in Aylesbury, set for the second Geolympix. That's at Ashridge Estate (free to enter/park!), Berkhamsted, Herts, on Sunday July 31st 2016. Please come if you'd... like to come :)
