What better way to celebrate a birthday than caching and spending the day with good friends and awesome food in a great park!

Celebrate and salivate!

The first event I attended was on 12-12-10 at the very same spot this event will be held. This is my log from that day:
"What a fine event! It was my first introduction into the Geocaching community. The folks were so nice to me as if I had always been a part of the family. That made me feel really good. Thanks everybody! Marty"


Now it's my turn to host an event!!


Please join me as I celebrate my good friend Radioman84's birthday.

This has been a crazy year for Radioman84 and I wanted to do something special for him.

So, I am cooking up a party!




Markham Park is a great park to visit. There is a boat ramp, airfield, boat rentals, campgrounds, an observatory, mountain bike trails, personal watercraft lake, swimming pool, target range, playgrounds, dog park, tennis and racquetball courts.

It is also a great park to cache in. There are more than two dozen caches located in this park. Please read the cache descriptions - some of the caches in the park are on the bike trails which require you to be on a bike and wear a helmet. No pedestrians allowed on the bike trails.


Pets are allowed in the park but must be kept on a 6' leash unless they are in the Barkham at Markham dog park.



There is a $1.50 fee per person to enter the park on the weekends.



Please post what you will be bringing as your potluck contribution. I have simplified this task by breaking up the alphabet and am posting the following request:

Caching name begins:
A-B-C: Snacks - chips, dips, pretzels, veggie platter, kibbles and bits, etc.
D-E-F: Salads and Side Dishes (cole slaw, potato salad, beans, macaroni salad, etc.)
G-H-I-J: Desserts (cookies, brownies, muffins, etc.)
K-L-M: Fruit and Veggies (carrots, celery, berries, grapes, melons, etc.)
N-O-P-Q: Paper Goods or Condiments (plates, cups, plasticware, ketchup, mustard, etc.)
R-S-T: Drinks (soda, water, beer, juice, etc.)
U-V-W-X-Y-Z: Drinks and/or Paper Goods (soda, beer, water, juice, plates, cups, plasticware, etc.)
SFF: Beer

I will be supplying ribs and chicken.

Feel free to bring any other food or drinks you want to partake in by yourself or to share with others!
