This cache was placed to recognize famous horses, real and fictional. The cache is not located at the listed coordinates but nearby at N 46 0A.BCD W 65 02E.FGH where:
A = “Hi-Yo, _____, Away!” (The Lone Ranger’s white horse) minus 5
B= Palomino stallion ridden by cowboy, Roy Rogers
C= Tonto’s paint horse he rode in The Lone Ranger TV series
D= Ian Miller’s reliable world champion jumper (died in 1999) that shares a name with a clock in London
E= First Canadian-bred thoroughbred to win the Kentucky Derby (1964) minus 12
F= Caroline Kennedy’s pony that was given to her by Lyndon Johnson and allowed to roam around the property of the White House
G= Hop-A-Long Cassidy’s horse he rode in most of his movies in the late 30’s through to the 50’s (his wife named him) minus 5
H= Elvis Presley’s favourite horse, a palomino with a big white blaze, that he would name his barn after.
Cache is a camo'd prescription bottle placed near the beginning of a atv/snowmobile trail. I chose this location because there are many horses in the area which you will likely notice on your way to the cache. Also, this was a trail I use to enjoy riding my own horse on.
