Geocache Description:

This is NOT inside the cemetery, or the walls surrounding. Please do not go looking beyond the walls (or IN the walls) for the cache, but feel free to respectfully visit some of the historic grave-sites inside.

This location has lots of great history attached to it, as well as some breathtaking views to the South.
Visit the park just around the corner before you leave, and watch some sailboats.
You are looking for a small container, approximately 2" by 4".
There is a log and a few small items, BYOP.

**** Congratulations to SeanandPam on the FTF!! ****

Established in 1788, Oak Grove Cemetery is the largest of many old cemeteries in Camden County. With graves dating back to 1801, Oak Grove is almost a "Who's who" of history in Camden County. Located in downtown St. Marys, early settlers, victims of Yellow Fever, Acadians and at least one brave soldier from every war (except the Persian Gulf) have been laid to rest here. Each year, a solemn Memorial Day ceremony is held here, including 21-gun salute and taps.
