Geocache Description:

Avro Woodford was one 2 primary factories producing the Avro Lancaster 4-engined bomber during World War 2. This strategic site was defended by a network of bunkers. Many of the bunkers remain. One is visible in the small wood on the Woodford side of the bridge.

The factory produced approx 4500 lancasters during the war with over half damaged or destroyed on active service.

The cache is a 35mm film canister in a camo container. You don't have to get wet to do this cache. Its a proper cache and dash with a large layby immediately next to the GZ.
