Geologischer Garten im Westfalenpark

Als ein Stadtpark für ewige Zeiten für die Dortmunder Bürger wurde der Kaiser-Wilhelm-Hain als Vorläufer des Westfalenparks am 03. Juni 1894 feierlich eröffnet. Er bildete 1959 die Keimzelle für die erste von drei Bundesgartenschauen. Im Anschluss an diese bedeutsame Gartenbauausstellung erhielt der Westfalenpark seinen Namen. 1969 und 1991 folgten zwei weitere Gartenschauen, die das Gesicht des Parks bis heute prägen. 	Der Geologische Garten, an den Ausläufern des Spielbogens gelegen, zeugt von den Geheimnissen der Erdgeschichte und der Entwicklung der Pflanzenwelt.Das zentrale Element ist die Erdzeiten-Uhr. Die liegende, runde Granitplatte umfaßt auf ihrem zeigerlosen "Zifferblatt" 4,5 Milliarden Jahre.Farbige Pflastersteine, die strahlenförmig von der Uhr ausgehen, markieren die zwölf Erdzeitalter von der Erdfrühzeit, dem Präkambrium, bis hin zur Erdneuzeit, dem Tertiär und Quartär. Der Garten ist paläobotanisch angelegt. Das heißt, die Pflanzen und Steine, die hier nebeneinander zu sehen sind, entstanden im selben Erdzeitalter, also in der Kreidezeit oder dem Peron, im Jura oder im Devon. Quelle

Beantworte mir Bitte folgende fragen per Mail: - Es ist 23.30 Uhr welche Zeit haben wir? - Organisches Sediment aus Pflanzenresten von Farnen, Schachtelhalmen und Bärlapp. Aus dem Karbon das 300 Mill. Jahre alt ist und bis zu 40 m hoch war. Worum handelt es sich? - Der Bundsandstein aus dem Trias ist 220 Mill. Jahre alt. Um was für ein Sediment handelt es sich? Ein Foto von dir oder deinem GPSr vor dem Erdgußstein Trachyt aus dem Tertiar wäre super, ist aber keine Pflicht. Sobald du mit die Antworten zugemailt hast, kannst du diesen Earthcache loggen. 	As a city park in perpetuity for the citizens of Dortmund was the Kaiser-Wilhelm-grove as a precursor to the Westfalen Park at 03 June 1894 opening ceremony. It was 1959, the nucleus for the first of three national garden shows. The geological garden in the Westphaliapark, witnesses from the secrets geologic history and the development of the plant world. The central element is the earth clock. The garden is a paläobotanic.
