The road to Acton Trussell. The bridge nearby has a waymark, This being an easy cache to find For my 1st hide, it's a magnetic key safe about 2 metres off the ground. Since cache has been moved it is now about 1 metre off the ground. There is a log and a pencil, but i would advise bringing along your own pen/pencil.
Acton mill Bridge as it is known, I named it Swan Bridges due to the visiting Swans every year which can be seen around this time nesting near the river Penk banks.
As of 05/12/13 the cache has been repositioned.
The present bridge over the River Penk at Acton Trussel (SJ 9313 1895) consists of two separate structures: Actonmill Bridge spans the main stream on three arches and was built in the late-18th/early-19th century, while the single span of the late-18th century Acton Trussell Bridge crosses a minor stream. The previous bridge over the Penk was built in 1726 to replace an earlier structure documented on the same site in 1608. (AHDS)
Cache is now a press seal bag covered in black duck tape. Please make sure bag is sealed to aid keeping the log dry!
