Twinflower Park trail is a short loop around a marsh/wetland. This is one of our favourite little trails. Great for little kids, but wear boots. You can do the whole trail in about 15 minutes. We placed a Pokemon card, 3 Kinder Egg toys, log, pencil and sharpener.
Here are two ways to access the trail:
1) From the small parking lot next to the firehall, walk straight through the baseball field.
2) On Caleb Pike, across from Deerfield Place, there is a slightly hidden trailhead. About 10' of small rocks line the start of the trail from this point.
On the trail, across from Highland Park Terrace, there is a patch of thimble berries, blackcap raspberries, and salmon berries. They are typically ripe at the same time mid-summer.
Lots of tree frogs to keep your ears company if you go in the evening and red-winged blackbirds by day:)
