Geocache Description:

Park and Grab

Just down from the cache location over in the railway yard is were the ore from Oceana Gold's Reefton's Mine is shipped by rail 600km to Palmerston.

It is then trucked up the hill to the Macraes operation for final processing through the pressure oxidation and carbon in leach circuits. Reefton produced a record 85,843 ounces of gold in 2010 and has a mine life based on current reserves only until approximately 2017.

The cache is a 160ml container. - bring own pen
