This is the first cache of several that I hope to be placing in the Portland metro area. The cache is placed in a fairly brushy area of local butte. The trail may be a bit slippery when wet.
The cache is placed in the general area of another, so maybe you can make the outting a "two for" when you set out to find it. The difficulity comes from the walk up hill to the trails and then negotiating the trail to the cache. This easiest access to this area can be difficult to find without reading the spoilers. All the trails on this butte are open to the public, just stay away from the "no trespassing" building. The butte is actually a unimproved city park. The cache is a ammo container partially hidden, well covered and just off a trail.
The cache contains a few trinkets and a "travel bug" that needs to find a new home.
The cache was rechecked (12/31/02)and found to be in great shape. A new log book was put in it, as well as a few more trinkets.
