Diamond Jubilee
The above coordinates are a nominal position near Heighington, but the cache is not in the village. When you have solved the puzzle there are places to park near the final location. The container is a small cliplock which will hold a logbook and room for small trinkets or trackables. Please remember to bring a pen or pencil.
In 2012 Queen Elizabeth II will celebrate her Diamond Jubilee and many events are organised for the 2-5 June to mark the occasion. She came to the throne on 6 February 1952, with her coronation taking place on 2 June 1953. In 1977 we celebrated her Silver Jubilee and this was followed in 2002 by the Golden Jubilee. The Queen is also Head of the Commonwealth of Nations, a voluntary association of 54 independant sovereign states. Over the years many divisions have occurred between member states with countries like Nigeria, Pakistan, Fiji and Zimbabwe being suspended at various times, or leaving the Commonwealth of Nations altogether. Other events like the Commnwealth Games, first held in Hamilton Canada in 1930, have produced many rising stars in the athletics world. So to celebrate this event can you locate the cache using the Commonwealth Flags below. Good luck and I hope you like the challenge and enjoy any events you have planned to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee.
