Geocache Description:

Please read this description carefully.

This cache was placed in 2012 by TNXPro, and it brings you to a delightful and peaceful reserve in rural Paraparaumu.

A Bunyip is a water level used for finding the exact same level at different points around an area.

Professionals typically use surveyor's levels to measure slope and for comparing levels across a site. These levels are expensive and can require specialised training to use. This is a simple and inexpensive 'back to the basics' alternative.

Add water slowly. When the water is level to the top at one end, it will also be at the top at the other.

The posted coordinates will lead you to a handy vessel with an item inside that you will find useful when retrieving the logbook at the final location. You will find directions for the final location on the underside of the lid.

Everything required to retrieve the logbook is provided on site - the only thing that you will need to bring is a pen to sign it.

PLEASE RESPECT THE PLANTINGS IN THE AREA. Volunteers have put a lot of effort into regenerating this area.

Please take a few extra minutes to replace the cache carefully and please be certain that everything is returned to the correct places.
