Hart Park is truly a gem of Bakersfield. Bring family and friends and specially the kids. There are several caches in and around the park, so pack a picnic basket and make a day of it. Tables and BBQ's abound if you're in the mood. Check out the peacocks that hang around peacock corner. If you’re lucky, maybe you’ll see the albino peacock. The Sheriff Department's shooting range is here, so you might hear the shooters. Oh, and don’t forget, the Kern River runs along the edge of the park. PARK CLOSES AT 10PM.
This cache is located near several walnut trees along a walking/jogging path. You can hear the river from this spot so just relax and bask in the beauty that is Hart Park. Hanging around such a nutty spot can be good if you look to the heavens for inspiration. FTF gets a dollar.
