Stotis pastatyta plečiant atšaką Sankt Peterburgas–Varšuva 1853–1862 m. 1945 metais senoji stotis buvo nugriauta. Po penkių metų pastatytas dabartinis pastatas. Stotyje veikia AB Lietuvos Geležinkeliai (LG) administracija, kasos, yra prekybos kioskų.

Atnaujinu vis dingstantį lobį. Tikiuosi, šįkart bus ilgam. Padariau greitą ir lengvą, kad spėtumėte į traukinį.
