There are a lot of rumors and folklore about the storied Tekoa Mountain upon which your waterlogged boots tread today, some of which we'll share with you later. For now though, here is some more factual information about the mountain's history:
The region you are exploring today was originally inhabited by Native Americans of the Woronoake tribe.
During the American Revolutionary War, the North (plateau) side of the mountain was the location of a secret, pro-revolution musket factory operated by early 18th century settler Richard Falley, Jr.

The summit was used as a lookout to watch out for British spies. If you see any today, please post in your log. ;-)
