Placed just outside Frinton-on-Sea Golf Club, at the end of the Esplanade.
The Golf Club was founded in 1895. Members still play for the Club Challenge Bowl, a magnificent silver bowl that was first won in 1896 in an age when the winner's name was not engraved onto the trophy but was instead engraved onto a silver cartouche that was affixed to the bowl. Classy end of the Greensward. This is a lovely area to let the children off the reins. Well kept clean grass is poop scooped regularly. A popular place to fly kites. I also saw some people on wheels with their 'wings' lifting them into the air ......any idea what this sport is called?
