These fences were designed to stop the wind from blowing snow onto a road. Yes the gulls can be a bit aggressive in the nesting period. Hundreds of gulls come here to build their nests. Area is used to host grouse shooting from August onwards ......that's if they find any...a bit like the salmon numbers.....grouse numbers have plummeted ........save our wildlife.
