Geocache Description:

The cache is at the above coordinates. However, in order to find it, you must have found and logged at least any 3 of the 254 caches placed world-wide during the first year of Geocaching's existence, 2000. Over half are now archived, of course. Here is a Bookmark list of all 254 of them created by Lamoracke from Washington State.

For a cache to qualify for the challenge, you must have completed the logging requirements for that cache. There are no geographic restrictions, the cache can be anywhere in the world. There is no time restriction on when you made the find, previous finds count. The only condition is that the cache must have been placed in one of the months of 2000.

Mr. Yuck felt bad about placing a 2001 Mini-Jasmer Challenge that he didn't personally qualify for (yet). So instead of a 2000 Mini-Jasmer, he decided to place one that he did personally qualify for. He calls it, as you've probably already guessed, The Y2K Trifecta.

C'mon, this isn't as hard as it sounds! There are 3 active 2000 placed caches within 133 miles of the Yuck Homestead in the Town of Tonawanda. There's the great May 2000 placed The Spot South of Canandaigua Lake here in New York, The average, to be totally honest, September 2000 placed State Gamelands #109 about 10 miles outside of Erie, Pa., and just 40 miles south of that on Interstate 79, there is the great (from what I'm told) December 2000 placed Stone Wall Stash. I haven't personally found that, although I've tried. I was driven away, while caching alone, by a hostile loose Beagle who chased my car at 20 MPH, and growled at me as I stopped at the parking area! Then he chased my vehicle at 20 MPH on the way out. (Cache archived August, 2014). I digress though, Mr. Yuck qualifies for his own challenge as he has found the first cache in Rhode Island, the great December 2000 placed Brenton Point, in the City of Newport. Keep in mind, these are just "close" examples, your 2000 qualifying caches can be anywhere in the world.

What we have here is a .4 mile one-way hike along muddy ATV trails, along with approximately 160 feet of heavy bushwacking. You will work for this challenge cache. The nearby RR tracks are active, although I've never seen them used by anything other than the Buffalo-Niagara Falls Amtrak train. You are looking for a small, hanging Rubbermaid container. No attempt has been made to camoflauge it, because really, who is ever going to stumble on it? Please use the hint, I wouldn't want a qualifying individual going out there and not finding the cache! Have fun. Obviously I need the Waypoint name, cache name, and date of your qualifying finds in your find log.
