A small container that was attached to a discarded shopping trolley when first placed. This has now been tidied away (or washed away?) so the cache is now attached to the wall instead.
Water depth may vary. When placed it was no deeper than knee height.
There is about 1.5m from floor to roof, so you may need to stoop.
A western approach is the shortest, possibly by going through the gap in the fence as you round the corner, or fencelessly from further upstream.
A slightly longer approach is possible from the east that doesn't require dealing with a fence but involves stooping or crawling through an additional tunnel which has ground above water for most of its length (depending on water level). Riverbank access to the river can be found a few metres east of the steps down from the road.
There will be no GPS signal so you may wish to leave non-waterproof gadgets ashore. Don't be surprised to see water rats.
Suggested parking is near the BT building on Elmington Road, local residents only from 10-11 Mon-Fri.
Terrain rating reflects undergroundness and water, difficulty reflects need to stoop, special equipment if you prefer.
